Loveliness

I just received my first blog award from Chris Kapono of mandarinmoonart.blogspot.com.
Thank you Chris!

Be sure to check out her blog, she has some very lovely art, both in polymer clay and acrylic.

In receiving this award I am given the wonderful and lovely opportunity to pass it on to other blogs and share all their loveliness with you! If one of the below blogs is yours, perhaps you too would like to pass this award on to some of your favorite blogs and help spread the loveliness.

Here are 6 lovely blogs you won't want to miss out on. Not in any particular order, they are:

Christel Jensen makes some very delectable miniature food - fruits, vegetables, desserts and my favorite - breads. They're so convincing. Don't miss out on her latest project - the restoration of a hundred year old house - doll house that is - soon to be filled with miniature furniture and tasty food!

kudzuswhimzy.blogspot.com
Being a dragon lover myself I just had to share the work of Sally Golubosky with you. On her blog she shows the process involved in making these whimsical dragons. Each one has character and a expression all its own.

spillingbeauty.blogspot.com

I love the texture and uniqueness of these pieces by Jennifer Morris - such a delicate natural beauty about them. In addition to a few pieces of her jewelry, her blog is filled with lovely and intriguing photographs.

clayandglassblog.com

No, these amazing pieces by Meagan Chaney are not polymer clay, they are true earthenware clay. Don't you wish you could do this with polymer? The glazes are fantastic, the colors and design - wonderful… I just love everything about them.
What can I say? I really like miniature food. I guess it stems from my love of baking. Stephanie Kilgast's work is so delicious. She also has an array of miniature food jewelry adorned with frosted cakes, fruit covered tarts, syrup drenched waffles, chocolate studded cookies… your mouth will water just looking at them!

Isn't the work of Genevieve Williamson captivating? Such a unique sense of color and style - they complement each other so perfectly. Wonderful with any outfit on any day. I really like that ring!

Enjoy these lovely blogs.

Even More Loveliness…

A short while ago Arlene Harrison of harrisonhollowdesigns tagged me asking me to write six silly things that make me happy. Being one more for writing of beauty and nature (when I'm not writing about clay!) I thought I'd do something a little different - hope you don't mind Arlene ;)

So, here it is: the topic of this post being Loveliness I thought I 'd share 6 lovely things that make me happy

Loveliness is:
1. The rush of wind and the beat of hooves as I race my horse through woods and field.
2. The enchanting call of a wood thrush singing high in the forest tree tops.
3. The smell of coming rain.
4. Escaping into the depths of a good book - in my case one by J.R.R. Tolkien!
5. Shooting stars in a frosty winter sky.
6. and lastly, but not least loveliness is sharing the thing I love most - polymer clay art - with others! Thank you for making this so much fun!

I'm not sure really who to pass this tag onto so I'll leave it at this: If you like this sort of thing, feel free to consider yourself tagged. Join in on the fun and write in your 6 lovely things (or if you prefer - 6 silly things) into the comments below.

Have a Lovely day!
